What is testosterone?

Testosterone is a sex hormone found in all mammals. It is the principal male sex hormone responsible for the development of sex organs and sexual characteristics, like bone density, regulating libido (sex drive), muscle growth, and overall sense of well-being. In men, testosterone is produced in the testicles and stimulates sperm production.
