Microneedling – Before and After

Microneedling – Before and After

Everyone has imperfections in their skin-scarring, discoloration, fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, or even just an odd texture. While you can try to use make-up to temporarily cover these problems, you’ll need a better treatment to see long-term changes in your skin’s appearance.

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a safe and effective cosmetic treatment that may help you see more beautiful, smoother skin. This non-invasive treatment should be performed by an experienced, licensed aesthetician in a medical setting. Microneedling is extremely popular due to minimal downtime with amazing results.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is used to target and treat

  • Scars (from acne or injury)
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Age spots, also known as sun spots
  • Large pores
  • Sun damage
  • Stretch marks
  • Uneven texture
  • Loss of skin elasticity

The Microneedling procedure

Prior to the microneedling procedure, a topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment areas for 45-60 minutes. The anesthetic is removed, followed by gentle cleansing of the skin.

The microneedling device is adjusted to the necessary depth for your skin concerns. Platelet-rich plasma or a topical hyaluronic acid serum is then applied to the treatment areas. Using mild pressure, the tool is applied to the skin in linear, perpendicular movements. These movements are repeated until the entire surface area has been treated.

After Microneedling

Immediately following the procedure, the skin appears more plump and radiant due to the skin’s natural healing process. For a few days after microneedling, you may notice slight irritation and redness of the treated areas

New tissue is quickly rejuvenated and results from microneedling is noticed in as little as two weeks.

Microneedling Results

For optimal results, a series of three microneedling treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended. If you have severe scarring, you may benefit from additional sessions. While you can start seeing results within just a few days, you are likely to see your best results after about three weeks. Your body needs that time to heal and produce more collagen. You can even boost your results and healing by combining microneedling with platelet-rich plasma therapy or radiofrequency technology.

After your final results, you should see smoother skin with a more even texture and color. You should see fewer scars and wrinkles. You should feel more beautiful and youthful-looking.

5 Ways to Deal with ED

Millions of men of all ages experience erectile dysfunction. It can be linked to aging, weight gain and existing health conditions such as heart disease.

Fortunately, you can use a number of effective treatments to cure ED and get back to your normal sex life. You can choose the treatment that is right for you and your health.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Low testosterone is also a common cause of erectile dysfunction. Testosterone levels naturally drop as you age, affecting everything from your weight and energy level to your sexual performance.

Penile Injection Therapy

Intracavernous injection therapy, also known as penile injection therapy, is one of the most effective therapeutic options for several different types of ED.

A predetermined amount of medication is self-administered at home, with results in about 20 minutes. The medication works by widening the blood vessels and relaxing the muscle.

Acoustic Shock Wave Therapy

One of the major causes of ED is blocked blood vessels in the penis. Plaque can build up on the walls of blood vessels, preventing blood from entering the penis. Plaque may be more common in older men, men with high blood pressure or cholesterol or men with heart disease.

Acoustic shock wave therapy is a non-invasive treatment to break down plaque and clear blood vessels. It is a painless procedure using low-intensity sound waves to encourage blood vessel growth and improve blood flow naturally. Some men may prefer this method as it doesn’t require you to plan ahead the way oral medication does. It naturally improves your sexual performance long-term.

PRP Therapy
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy uses the injection of your own plasma into the penis. Platelet-rich plasma contains high levels of your body’s natural healing and regenerative cells. These cells may help repair blood vessel and tissue damage in the penis that is causing ED. It may be more effective for people experiencing Peyronie’s disease.

Oral Medication
The most common and most effective treatment for ED is an oral medication. These prescription medicines help improve blood flow and stop erectile dysfunction. These medicines are very effective for men of all ages, though they may not work for everyone.

You must take oral medication at least 1 hour before sexual activity for it to be effective. This may be one downside of oral medication.
