Recovery Arsenal BPC-157

Recovery Arsenal BPC-157

BPC stands for “Body Protecting Compound”. Your body already makes it in your own gastric juices in very small amounts, where it serves to protect and heal your gut. The super concentrated version has an extremely high level of biological healing activity just about anywhere you put it. BPC-157 is surprisingly free of side effects, and has been shown in research to repair tendon, muscle, intestines, teeth, bone and more, when injected subcutaneously (under your skin) or intramuscularly (into your muscle).

BPC-157 has been shown to: Promote tendon and ligament healing by tendon outgrowth, cell survival, and cell migration. Tendon-to-bone healing is effective enough that they may actually “successfully exchange the present reconstructive surgical methods” counter the damaging effects of NSAIDs like ibuprofen or Advil on the gut lining, repair the damage from inflammatory bowel disease, help cure periodontitis, reverse systemic corticosteroid-impaired muscle healing, and accelerate bone healing.

BPC-157 can cause an anabolic healing effect in both the upper and lower GI tract, has an antiulcer effect, and produces a therapeutic effect on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) – all again surprisingly free of side effects. If you’re injured, have gut inflammation, or have any other nagging issue, you may want to seriously consider adding BPC-157 to your rapid recovery arsenal.

Get Back to Doing What You Love-Platelet Rich Plasma

Injecting PRP into damaged tissues will stimulate your body to grow new, healthy cells and promote healing. Because the tissue growth factors are more concentrated in the prepared growth injections, the body’s tissues heal faster. Plasma is a component of your blood that contains special “factors,” or proteins, that help your blood to clot. It also contains proteins that support cell growth.

PRP has many applications in modern medicine and are effective in treating androgenic alopecia, which is also known as male pattern baldness. Doctors have used PRP injections to treat chronic tendon problems, such as tennis elbow, Achilles tendonitis at the ankle, and jumper’s knee, or pain in the patellar tendon in the knee. Sometimes doctors use PRP injections after surgery to repair a torn tendon (such as a rotator cuff tendon in the shoulder) or ligaments (such as the anterior cruciate ligament, or ACL).

It has become more widely used as a treatment for female and male sexual dysfunction and is sometimes referred to as the P and O shots. Because PRP involves injecting a substance into the skin, there are potential side effects. PRP is autologous, which means it contains substances that come directly from your own body. PRP injections are intended to promote healing or growth. Therefore, you may not notice an immediate difference after receiving the injections. However, in several weeks or months, you may observe that the area is healing faster or growing more hair than you would have expected if you hadn’t received PRP injections.

At Fountain of You MD, we use a “double spin” centrifuge to obtain the highest grade of platelets and growth factors for the best possible results. We also believe that other modalities and lifestyle changes can contribute to success.

A Rock That Bends To No Wind – ED Treatments

Erectile dysfunction has many causes. Most men don’t realize that a combination of therapies is often the best approach. As we age, our testosterone levels inevitably fall. Intramuscular testosterone is often the first line of treatment for ED.

Newer therapies include Shockwave which can dislodge plaques form the blood vessels in the penis. It also can lead to formation of new vessels and remodeling of the existing blood vessels. Coupled with growth factor recruiters such as Platelet Rich Plasma, the damaged vessels serve as a scaffolding for stem cells to be recruited to the area and cause further remodeling. High-grade PRP is essential to the process and can often improve function and performance.

At Fountain of You MD, we offer multiple treatment options and combination therapies for the most effective and innovative solutions for both men and women.

How Testosterone Changed My Life – A Doctor’s Perspective

“When you show deep empathy for others, their defensive energy goes down, and positive energy goes up. That’s when you can get more creative solving problems.”Stephen Covey

I often tell my patients my own story. I know it helps them understand that I’ve lived the “Low T” nightmare, studied TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy), and know what works and augments therapy.

When I hit the age of 50, I knew something was drastically wrong. I felt foggy-headed, grumpier than usual, down in the dumps, had lost my libido and motivation, and I was exhausted all the time. I mean, I would wake up tired. I’d been diagnosed with hypertension, high cholesterol, borderline diabetes, and sleep apnea. My weight was at an all-time high. I know what to do, not because I’m a doctor, but because I’m a man.

Dr. Jeff Arbuckle showing off his slim figure after losing weight while undergoing Testosterone Replacement TherapyA couple of years later, I went to a local clinic specializing in TRT. By then, my level of testosterone was 260 ng/dL. I was told by the physician that that was a very treatable number, despite still being in “normal range”. I signed up immediately and received my first shot that day. That same clinic hired me 6 months later after seeing my transformation. I’ve lost 75 pounds, my endurance and strength are way up, and I no longer have hypertension, sleep apnea, high cholesterol or elevated blood sugar.

Now, I also need to explain that I “walk the walk”. I always explain to my patients, that if you are going to continue to abuse yourself, the therapy will not work. Many factors are contributing to our Low T levels as a society. I am a passionate believer that if we identify the culprits behind the Low T epidemic, we can make changes to augment our therapy and improve our testosterone levels. I have a 97% success rate, and I swear, the 3% that don’t respond continue to eat processed food, drink a 12 pack (of beer) every night and don’t get moving (exercise). If you are going to go through all of this trouble, pay for an expensive therapy, and get a sharp reminder in your ass every week or two, you’ll want to do the work to ensure success. Most patients take my advice to heart and do well.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy practicing in such a restricted practice. After all, doctors are sort of detectives. I absolutely love it! The reward of changing someone’s life and helping them regain their vitality and vigor is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done in my 28 years of medical practice. I’ve learned other ways of helping women and men regain their youthful feel and shave years off their appearance and mindset. It’s why I’ve founded Fountain of You MD. Have a look around our website, and see some of the incredible cutting-edge, state of the art things we do to help you feel young again.
